Graduated in Law from the Central Dominican University of Professional Studies (CDEP). He has extensive academic training after completing numerous specialization courses in Law, especially in Criminal Law.
He served for more than a decade as a Judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the Judicial District of La Altagracia until he submitted his resignation to join as a Partner of the firm Duluc Rijo & Asociados in 1996, later called Duluc-Aybar & Corporán.
Mr. José Raúl Corporán has an extensive professional career, as in addition to having been a Judge, he was Bailiff of the Sixth Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District, Legal Consultant of the Municipal Council of Higüey; Secretary of the La Altagracia Sectional Bar Association and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Altagracia. In addition, he is a Notary Public of the Municipality of Higüey.
